What can you get selling it outright? Advertise it and just wait it out unless there is some one with a gun to your head saying trade it now or I'll blow you away. Or maybe you don't have to really work for your paycheck?

Don't do it. Just wait for the next model year, who knows maybe the 3.7 will be in the 08 Sedan. Not worth trading a car thats only 1 year old IMO.

whiterhino529,

A fully loaded 2007 G35S would have to include the Premium, Navigation, and Tech Packages, and 4 Wheel Steering. That would still only bring the MSRP to $41,200.

I agree that unless you really dislike your '06 or have money to burn, I would hold off. $21,500 + $20,000 cash (you still need to add taxes, licence, and other fees) is a very bad deal.

Just my 2-cents worth!!

That seems like too much. I am looking to getting an 05 sedan and see prices way above that all the time. I would personally hold onto it for another year and then maybe get an 08. You loose the most the first year. You still loose a lot in value the second year, but not as much as the first. Even in a year from now you should be able to sell that 06 privately for the price or more then what they are offering as trade in.

I say don't do it. Losing too much money for that. There is always something newer and better coming, there is not ending. I am sure 08 or 09 would be better than 07, you want to trade in again by then. Persuade yourself how nice and good looking your 06 G35 sedan is, then your desire of getting a new one would be subsided.

I say don't do it under the numbers you've thrown out, but I have to think you can do better on both ends. You should be able to sell your G for much more than they've offered and buy the new G close to invoice, not msrp. If you could get that differential down to something your comfortable with the whole deal changes.

Have you driven it? That's when you can start saying "what's it worth to me?" I have an 07 and took out an 06 as a loaner last week. Granted; the loaner was a bit beat up and a base model, but I couldn't have ben happier with my decision to hold out and spend extra money on the 07 when I was choosing between the two last fall. The 07 is a better car in almost every way.

Well, selling your 06 will make a fairly new used car available. When I'm willing to sell my 04, it will probably be 6 years old with over 70K miles

I opened this thread ready to say "YES. Endo story..."

But, thats not a very good deal- I traded an 05 coupe with 32k miles and got $25,500 for it. I bought a Journey with a sticker of $38,600 for $34,800. I think they (or someone else) can do better....

Sit down and work the deal up that YOU want, then start calling around, someone will do it. The first 2-3-4 dealerships I called essentially laughed at me, then 2 bit. The funny thing is, they were both trying to sell me the SAME car. I went with the one that decided to give me an extra $500 on my car. Goodluck!

a G with a hot *** chick inside... lol

Two things i will say regarding this thread.... #1 they are paying you atleast a few thousand less on the trade.... #2 you need to negotiate the price on next car.
