Question about heated seats

How many people have had their heated seat problem resolved?
I understand that the fix is basically to replace a harness underneath the seat. (that's what I got from the bulletins sticky)
How long did it take for the service department to get the necessary parts?
I think the parts would be readily available and shouldn't take more than a few days, right?

Mine are on back order. They told me at least a week. Most G35s will need this fix it would seem.

Took delivery last Tuesday and both of my seats appear to be working correctly.
Looks like models being delivered now may already have the new harness already in place.

Request the dealer orders the part

I've been trying to get mine fixed, too. It's been frustrating because two of the dealers I'd been calling didn't even know there was a fix until I assuered them that there was, and gave them the Nissan tech bulletin number. Even at that, they just say the parts aren't in.

I gave up and called another dealer last Tuesday. They put in an order for the harness and it was there by Friday. My car's getting fixed today.

Anyway - from what I learned, request that they order the part for you specifically - like they would do with any other part. I have the feeling the dealers are just waiting until Infiniti just sends them out to everyone.

Good luck!

I got mine fixed a few weeks ago. It only took about a week for the parts to come in once they ordered them. It didn't really affect the heated seats much, they still suck. I guess it doesn't really matter now given what happened to it this morning.

As previous posted stated, most recent deliveries probably had this issue fixed. I took delivery 3/24 and the driver's seat gets pretty hot after a few minutes. I will still need to check the passenger seat though.

I got mine "fixed" today along with the sunroof finisher bulletin.

Driver's side - Seems okay...I can a difference between low and high setting, but high is not super hot like on Mercedes. I can live with it though.

Passenger side - Before the "fix", only the seat bottom would heat up when on low, and only the seat back would heat up when on high. Now after the "fix", seat bottom will heat up on either setting, BUT I swear the seat back does not heat up anymore on either setting. WTF?! Before the fix, I could definitely tell when the seat back heats up.

I got mine done today ... after waiting a couple weeks for the parts. I can tell it made a diff but it was warm out today so hard to tell just how much.

I had to tell my dealership about the TSB as well.
