Some ?s about the fogs

1. Do others prefer, or think the car looks better (cooler) with the fogs on?

2. Have anyone changed their fog bulbs, and if so, what did you change to?

Well...guess not, I leave them off because a) the location seems somewhat random and b) they don't match the HIDs. I changed the fogs in my Maxima to match the HIDs, but probably won't bother on the G.

Check the FAQ section as there is an existing thread regarding the fog lights. Please add any additional questions you have to that thread.

Thanks, didn't realize that feature was already up and running.

If you want the fogs to better match the stock HID low beams, use Piaa Extreme Force 4700k. Gives off a blue-white look. Very nice.

Fog lights are meant to be used when it's foggy, not to look cool. The fog light are not functional on a clear night (on this car) except to cast more light in the eyes of on coming cars. That has honestly always bothered me about people that drive with them on. There is a functional purpose for these lights, they are not installed for the cool factor.

Just to be clear, yes those modifications are purely for aesthetics but they do not blind oncoming traffic. I cannot tell you how many times I've been blinded by the kid who is driving around town with his driving/fog lights on, on a clear night just to look cool.

I plan to upgrade my fogs as well, but I will not be using them while driving around in traffic. As is the fog lights on this car do nothing but put more light in the eyes of others. They were not well designed.

fog lights, if aimmed correclty, should not bother oncoming traffic. theyre suppose to give light to the ground right infront of the car. the cars you've encountered, obviously, were nto aimmed correctly.

on the g, i dont use the fogs at all, unless foggy, but thats rare in socal. on my old car, since the foglight assembly were seperate from the headlight assembly, i use to drive with them on all the time. during the day id drive with the fog lights on only (no daytime running lights). if the g had a seperate assembly, id most likely run the alone during the day and on with the headlights at nite.
