Manual Clutch Compare '07 Sedan VS. '07 Coupe
I called three Chicagoland dealerships to test drive a 6MT Sedan and of course they didn't have any. If they did, they were sold before I even had a chance to come in. So, if I end up purchasing my 6MT it'll have to be an order.
Anyway...I test drove the manual Coupe to get a "feel" of the clutch, short throw, and overall drive of the transmission. I was suprised at how light the clutch was. My wife's '97 Nissan 200SX SE-R has more resistance than the Coupe clutch. I was expecting something a bit tougher and I guess sportier on the clutch. I noticed the high friction point and didn't have any problems getting used to it, but I was still surprised at how "video game" the clutch felt. It was like one of those arcade games that has a stick and you can shift using a "clutch", but it doesn't really do anything.
Is the '07 Sedan the same way? Or are these two completely different transmissions?
I had a '00 328Ci and the clutch was much nicer. I can get over this soft clutch, but I'm hoping the '07 Sedan is different. Any thoughts?

Clutch in 07 sedan is totaly different than on 07 coupes, a while ago when I test drove coupe I was disapointed and returned the car without looking at G's after that. This new generation G changed my mind but clutch bites at the end of release so takes time to get used to.
I just test drove an 07 G35 6MT sedan. My 05 coupe 6MT was totaled (stupid woman hit me). The first thing I noticed about the new sedan's clutch is that it was much lighter than the one in my coupe. It still engaged at the top. It felt softer and easier on the leg muscles.
coming out an 06 coupe 6mt and into an 07 sedan 6mt, ill tell you that there is a world of difference between the two. I even let my father drive it who isnt really much of a stick driver (bucks a lil here and there lol) and even he noticed how much better the clutch is on this car.
