Anyone using a Samsung m610 phone?
Anyone using a Samsung m610 phone?
Looking for a Bluetooth phone that can push its address book to the car (G35 Sedan w/Nav) but one that doesn't need a PDA function.
The m610 manual from Sprint shows OPP is functional so it ought to, but neither Sprint nor Infiniti has a definitive answer. The phone can't be tested without activating it according to the folks at the Sprint store.
Wouldn't want to throw the coin at it only to find out it doesn't work well with the car. Any info is greatly appreciated. TIA, Pete

I have a '06 coupe and I have problems with my m610. I will be coming off lease soon so I was trying the bluetooth on the new cars to see if it works better (as far as sound quality). It worked fine on the '07 sedan and it worked fine on the '07 FX. Looks like I was just out of luck on my '06 coupe. My PM325 worked just great on my coupe.
Anyway, the m610 pair'd with the '07 sedan without problems. I've used the bluetooth on the phone with my computer and it worked OK. I think the main problem was the adapter I purchased was not 100% compatible with the computer. I do like the phone so it is worth it for me.

spyfish007, tnx for the info. Confirms what I've found with the a640. Discovered this less expensive phone to have a subset of the M610 features for about a hundred bucks less so I went with it. I'd upgraded my wife's phone to it the week before last and used it to test the car's functionality. Seemed ok so I upgraded my phone on the cheap.
The car doesn't recognize vcf files so the data transmitted from the phone has its contact names reversed which is a pita since the keypad can't edit, only backspace and replace. All of the phonebook is not transferred either. Got only 135 out of 162 numbers across. Much less before taking symbols other than a period out of any contact name. Still, some that seemed fine didn't make it.
If Sprint could figure out how to get the Voice Command feature to function, this would be a non-issue. For some reason ordering it and calling in about it haven't been successful. If it's turns up working next week * would be the only number the onboard phonebook would need.
Oh, and every once in a while the car can't find the phone even though I just got out to go into a store and am back in few minutes. Have to cycle the phone's power to get it to work again. Same sort of thing happens when trying to download a contact one at a time. The car seems to cause the phone's Bluetooth link to break and it won't work again until power's cycled as well.
Tnx again, Pete
