XM Roady2 connected to RCA jacks in console?
XM Roady2 connected to RCA jacks in console?
I've got an old XM Roady2 that I connect to my 07 G35 using the FM Modulator. Sound quality isn't great. I didn't get XM or NAV with the car. I know the XM Roady2 home kit comes with an RCA connector to connect to a stereo receiver. Do you think I could hook up the audio portion of the Roady2 (using this RCA connector) to the RCA jacks in the center console? Would that give me the audio just like if I plugged in my iPod?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I don't see why it wouldn't work. You won't have the channel info displayed on the headunit, but how much of an issue is that? I was thinking of getting a portable Sirius unit and trying the same. If you give it a shot post your results as I'm sure there are others wondering the same thing.
I have the audio from my DVD player going into the jacks and it works great. Only catch is that you have to remember to switch to AUX input, but it should work fine and the quality should be as good as the rest of the car's audio.
