Its official I have fallen love w/ my 07 G35s 6mt

I would first like to say that after 3000 miles I have finally fallen in love with my new 07 G35s 6speed. Dont get me wrong I did have a few issues with it at first. The biggest issue was the clutch sensitivity which now it has seemed to have fixed itself after a few aggressive launches or maybe I have already worn out the pressure plate but it does seem to feel much better. The second complaint I had was that it seemed to produce alot of shifter vibration over 5k rpm but now seems to be much smoother after break in or maybe its just the Mobile 1 oil. Third complaint was the cars styling which I did not like the rear end of the car but like I expected it grows on you each time you see it. Forth complaint - sports seats w/ side supports were way to uncomfortable for me but I guess I could lose some weight. Fifth complaint - car seemed to be to quiet and lacked that signature Nissan exhaust note that I was accustomed to with my 05 Altima SER 6mt but after removing the resonators on the G it sounds much better. Finally I would like to say that after several months and 3k miles this car rocks and I now understand Infiniti's incredible blend of refinement and performance. I also would think that with any car it does take time to learn the car so I think first impressions (car magazines) should live with it for awhile before making any final conclusions. I still cant believe that Motor trend rated the weak *** BMW 328i over the new G, I since canceled that moronic magazine!

hopefully you've just gotten used to the clutch and its engagement point.
3K miles is too short to start wearing out anything so much !!!!

Enjoy the 6MT - -sweet ain't it ?

I hope your correct, I have the sport MT and I have not loved the shifting. Almost every other manual transmission I have ever driven has been smoother. I only have 600 miles thus far and Iam still learning the car. Iam comparing the manual transmission to Saab 9-5 aero, acura tsx, and my old car 95 maxima. random three cars, all with less horsepower, but they are all WAY easier to drive (all sticks).

Iam on the fence with this car, the speed/handling are incredible but city driving sucks so far.

If they ever remodel the acura TL and make it faster, manual and awd/rwd i might switch to that, otherwise this is the best choice

I wouldn't hold my breath on Acura going to a RWD platform.
(go hang out in acurazine.com and start a thread with RWD mentioned in it )

I've seen that the G shifts very well if you accelerate a little harder than normal (spirited driving) ..... it kinda gets difficult if you are driving "normally" ... dunno why but you'll see what I mean if you try driving a bit hard.
