It took me 4 or 5 days to get a hold of the Infiniti arbitration guy. I explained how the offer didn't include tag, title, tax, and registration fees. He indicated that they could adjust the offer, and I talked to him about looking into some other options for me. I'm not really happy with the idea of just getting my money back at this point (although considering the interest, insurance, time, and other indirect expenses I'm not really getting my money back). I ordered the car in December, waited 3 months to get it, drove it for 3 days, and then waited another 2 months for them to give up trying to fix it. Plus, if I accept the repurchase offer it will be another 3 or 4 weeks of waiting to get the check from them. Hopefully, I will hear back soon and have some better news.

Just to finally update this thread....

I picked up my replacement vehicle (exact match, different VIN obviously) last Wednesday. The Nissan arbitration guy is supposedly sending me paperwork for an extended warranty that they are purchasing on my behalf for my troubles.

So four months after taking my three day old car into the dealership for repairs I received a new car and an extended warranty. After all of my headaches and troubles in this process I don't really feel happy about anything, but at this point I am satisfied. The satisfaction comes from the ordeal being over more than anything else. Everyone person I have worked with has been nice, but the process itself and the bureaucracy of it all has been very consumer-unfriendly.

Also, after only putting about 250 miles on it, I had to drive the car on a 1300 mile trip due to my current extended travel status for work. I varied the speed/rpms as much as possible during the two day drive, but it still bothers me that I could not properly break it in.

I am very happy with the car though and after I put about 500 miles of "city driving" on it I am going to start driving it more aggressively and enjoy it.

Congrats and sorry to hear that you had a lemon. I'm glad you didn't take the one bad lemon to heart and got another G35. Its a good car. Not every car is going to be 100%...Now, wait until you hit 1200K your face will light up...

Good to hear you got thru the ordeal and you are back to driving a new car again.

Thumbs up

Way to hang in there, Mayor! I am glad that you stuck it out, not that many people go the distance on lemon law cars, yes, yours was way to new to go through all that! I surely hope your "new" car will make up for the "other" car. regards....

No-one cares what "your latest opinion" is when it's baseless, illogical, and quite frankly pretty dense.

First, the 330i isn't even comparison for an 07 G. the car is a POS and is outdated. You could say 335>G35 but even that is very debatable and subjective. Besides that, no-one is going to give credence to an anonymous opinion not backed by ****.

Glad you resolved everything - unfortunately like you said, your time and trouble hasn't really been compensated. But, the problem was resolved, and at least Infiniti stood up.

Don't sweat the break-in, the first 250 miles I put on mine was on the highway coming back from Dallas, and I just varied speed, gears, and stopped from time-to-time. It's arguable whether or not our cars need a break-in, so you're good.
