Getting ready to pull the trigger...

Black on Black Sport Prem/Tech/Nav
So far they are telling me $38,915 $1000 off MSRP.
They tried to slip me the demo car and I told them to get lost. They will be delivering the car form a dealer 30 miles away and want to drive it themselves.
I wanted to pay more like 37,700 they are giving me a hard time

What else am I missing before I pull the trigger
I am thinking I will have them put on the clear bra. Any other dealer add-ons I should look into

Thanks

Why don't you drive the 30 miles yourself, and negotiate with that dealer. $1000 off MSRP is certainly no deal (in most markets)

I offered to drive and they were like um no...which seemed strange.
Negotiations seems to be going nowhere. Apparently Black/Black Sports are hard to come by in the area so they are usually selling for MSRP. Seems like bull to me. What is considered a good price for this car?

No. Don't tell the current dealer. Of course they're going to say no. They want YOUR business. They don't want you to go to another dealer. Just call up the other dealer and ask if they have the car and deal with them and see how it works.

They own both dealerships...that is why I asked them...and did not contact the dealer directly

Only problem with that is it could back fire. If the other dealer doesn't give you a good deal they then may not want to dealer trade it to your original dealer because they feel like they have someone interested. I would just threaten to look around some more and see what they say. Even if they rare I think they would still come down another 1000 before losing the deal. I know I sell cars.

Good Luck

Ah that changes things a bit. But, still try the "I am going to look around" route.

I'd go the shopping around route too, let them know that it's above the going rate for the cars so you'd rather wait it out then pay $1000 more now, tell em to call you if they change their mind. If they are not budging and you really want the car now, then get creative with the discounts, i.e. all weather mats, clear bra & flatbed the car, first oil change free, etc... That will get your price down, and they will still make some money.

Wait till the last day of May and see what they say. I got net $300 under invoice on a similarly equipped g35s on the 30th of April at 7:30PM (30 minutes before close).

I also came in with a check from an online bank for 6.25% and the infiniti finance guy came down to 6.14%.
