Not true at all...

It's all about a safe tune.

I have been on a stock block FI (~8psi) for over a year and there are many guys on here and my 350Z that have 30-60k miles with boost on a stock block.

Your right, I don't plan on tracking the car. Nor would I race on the streets. So I don't know if going to driving school will teach me how accelerate my 5AT any quicker. Perhaps they'll teach me how to stomp on the accelerator a bit harder? =)

For me, FI would be worth it when I'm able to keep up or walk those E92 m3's and RS4's during those brief highway runs. To each his own.
I said in most cases money is better spent on driving lessons.
Driving school probably won't help you hit the accelerator any harder.. but it will help you out in a situation when you lose control or somebody runs you off the road because you are speeding with the pedal mashed down.
What FI will do is over power the chassis and brakes. So now you have a fast car not designed to handle the extra power. So you now lost the balance that was engineered into the car based on its specific designed power rating.
I learned this from years of doing this exact same thing. I always felt I needed more power. I always ended up over-powering the car and upsetting the balance of handling/braking vs power.
Corky Bell (look him up) is a renown FI expert and a very good friend of mine. He modified one of the Mazdas I had many years ago with a much larger turbo package. The car was very fast.. but handled like crap and was downright scary after the mods.
His words to me were.. "If you want a fast car... buy a fast car" wise words indeed.
The only car I ever owned that I didn't need or want to modify was my Z06. Power, balance and brakes right from the factory.. all it needed was to have the nut adjusted behing the wheel...

Agreed... keep the air/fuel ratio in check and modest boost is not a problem. It's all about keeping the EGT's at a safe level and keeping detonation in check. The new block in the HR is decked and looks to be a very strong bottom end ready for boost..

Probably no more mods, except better tires. Just plan to continue having tons of fun driving the car.

I'm all about this as well. If the grill was meant to represent katana swords, they should have at least made them somewhat as strong LOL.

I'd like to drop my G a couple of inches after slapping on some 20s. Still undecided on the style of wheels yet though.

My goal is to NOT lower and put wheels on the car. In a drunken haze I nearly ordered SSR GT10's last night, I need to block myself from the tirerack!

I just plan on driving this car, I did everything I hope I'm going to already. Just oil changes, gas and maybe brakes are my "goals".
