Bluetooth Connection - Blackberry Pearl - Hit and Miss

I have an 07 S sedan and just purchased a Blackberry Pearl. The connection is great, when it works. The display says my blackberry is connected and then about 10 min of driving it drops. Sometimes it would connect again after a few minutes, but most of the time it just stays off and it will not pair with the system. Blackberry is in discoverable mode and the hands free is set as a trusted device. I've tried re-pairing a couple of times (thinking I might have changed something) but it constantly drops the connection.

Anyone else have a similar issue or know what can be wrong before I take it to the dealer and spend 1/2 a day there?

I've had connectivity issues with my BlackBerry 8700c where the connection would drop and reconnect while I on the phone. I have since deleted the pairing and re-paired and so far, so good, but I haven't used it much.

Check the device settings... it's supposed to always accept connections from the car, but if you don't check the box when prompted then sometimes it will act up.

I certify the devices at work and I've been playing with everything from 8700s to 8100/8800s... so far the 8800s work the best because they allow address book transfer with no issues. I just got my hands on a 8300 from AT&T today though, so I'll be trying that as well and see how I like it.

Can you give us an update on how the Curve/8300 works with the G35? I am thinking about picking one up and upgrading from my 8700c.

I've tried the 8300 "Curve" with no problems... don't like the device myself although it's lighter than the other devices. I gave that to the wife and I'm using an 8830 now with no issues either.

So far the only devices I had issues with was the 8700s, because you can't transfer the address book. The 8800s, 8100s and 8300s don't have that problem and work just as well.
