door lock issue

HI THERE,

so yesterday i was at my shop trying to lock my car.. the front doors lock. .and the rears do not.. i was like WTF.. i cant get it to lock... unless manually lock them.. then afterwards i had my audio tech take it apart and see whats going on.. he told me that the motor is either burnt or burning out so its not giving that much power to lock the doors.. doors UNLOCK fine when locked.. but when UNLOCKED.. it WILL NOT LOCK... i dont know what to do.. i think im going to have to take it into the dealer and have them look at it..

so here is the issue.. i installed MB Quartz Q Series Components in all four doors.. this has nothing to do with the door locks... you think Infiniti will try to pull some "S*#*" on me???..

the plastic is actually still attached like factory..

if you guys want to try it out.. try unlocking and locking your door a lot.. keep playing with it.. and u'll see this problem occur i think..

maybe you fried or disconnected a relay when you installed the MB quart (no 'z' by the way) speakers (you have to remove the door panel to get to em)

Yeah... I'd be surprised if the installation didn't have something to do with your problem.

lol.. wait.. how do you guys think i fried a relay doing SOUND SYSTEM? .. the door panels come off.. but it just goes back on simply..

i dont doubt my audio tech guy at all.. he knows what hes doing.. any helpful way to test?.. fried a relay?.. UNlock works perfectly fine.. lock works.. it just seems as iff its not giving it enough of a push to LOCK

door lock relays are somtimes mounted on the inner door skin. if it's a digitized relay (through the ecu) then it's even easier to confuse.

the point is, you changed something related to the doors. some[thing] ELSE related to the doors just stopped working. Chances are, they are related. that's how the universe works...

Here's a crazy idea; disconnect the battery. This is strictly a wild guess, but if it is digital electronics "re-booting" the system might just fix it. It can't hurt.
