computer chip for 07 G sedan
computer chip for 07 G sedan
Is there a chip like BMW 335I has came out with? A friend of mine has a 335I and he installed a new chip. All I have to say is wow. His car is extremely faster then before.

I'm not aware of any such thing. The only thing that I am aware for *any* of the G's is the Technosquare reflash and that requires either buying a new chip and sending it to them or taking out your chip and sending it to them. Also, I'm almost certain that they have not yet done a hack on the '07 so we are still SOL.
Being that the 335 is a twin turbo...a chip could be used to up the boost for more power. Since we are NA, the power gains are minimal at best. That's been seen on the 03+ vq's already. Remember that the 335 may be able to be chipped like many of the European cars like the Audi s4's etc. Our cars cannot be "chipped" but only re-flashed with a new ecu program. For re-flashing you have to send the ecu to the tuner....like Technosquare already does with the earlier vq's.

I haven't heard of anything new for the '07. Don't be fooled by some cheap "chip" like those ones on EBay. If something does come out like that it will be big news on the '07 forum. Like 6gear said, the 335 is FI and the '07 is not.

Still WAY more power and torque than any bolt-on, non FI or nitrous mod on a G35/G37 would net.

G/Z Access Port infomation here: http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31352
P.S. Don't expect anything like the gains the 335i is making. That is a turbo engine and it is very simple to make respectable gains with even moderate tuning.
