Music Box Question

Music Box Question
After loading a CD (2 CD 'Best of David Bowie') into my Music Box, I notice something odd when I scrolled thru the Music Box menu. Several songs, I think 6 songs actually, had a red circle with a line thru it in the margin next to the song. It appeared that the song was not available. However, the song played and pulled up info for the track name. I deleted the CD and then resaved the info only to have the same thing appear.
Does anyone have any insight as to why this is? I could not locate any information in the manual as to why this was occuring.
FYI - this was a purchased CD set and not a burning CD.

It happens when your CD is a little bit bad. I have it on a Bach CD of mine and I noticed it had a lot of difficulty playing the first few tracks, stopping a lot, then starting again. It managed to get through it after a while but these tracks then had the red circles on the music box. They seem to sound OK when played, but there is probably some loss in the transfer.

Just thought that this was weird.
Thanks for the insight.

What I ended up doing is this, and seems to work best for me, especially while driving...
1) For the music box, I leave it permanently sorted by Album...that way I can see a large number of tracks listed at once, can easily change tracks, and can easily jump to a previous or next album (with the turn of the Tune/Folder ****..or just holding down the steering wheel enter key for one second - either up or down). Granted I do not know what the next Album will be, other than an educated guess as its alphabetic, but I dont really care as the only reason I am changing albums is because I am not in the mood for the current one.
2) For the CF card, whch I like best, as I have the most control over, its sorted by Artist (as that's how I created the folders). In a similar vane, once again, this way I can see the greatest number of tracks listed at once, can easily change tracks, and can easily jump to a previous or next artist.
