Hi Folks

I was playing around with an M at the dealership while they were replacing my grille under warranty today. I much preferred the rear armrest in the M and was wondering if anyone knew whether it would fit in the G. It looked as if the mechanism was the same but I'm not sure about the width. If it's the same fitment I may try to get one to have some sort of useful storage in the rear. Maybe someone who works at a dealership could find out?

+1. What features make the rear armrest better than ours?

 

Real storage. You could easily get the first aid kit in there for instance. The whole top of the armrest hinges up exposing a large tray and the cupholders. I think that the cupholders on our existing armrest are cheesy to say the least.
Unfortunately I did some checking after I posted. The list on the G armrest is $800. No, that's not a typo! While the M is around $700. I nearly fell off my chair.

 

Ugh $800! Too bad we can't find some M modders that would want our rear armrest! haha
We belong in the front seat anyways!
