The car I am getting is a dealer locate. They are not ordering it because they found it at a dealer a few hundred miles away and it will be less time than ordering a new model. My question is since I am getting one with splash guards that I don't want. Can you remove the splash guards without holes in the outer part of the car. I am hoping all the holes are in the wheel well you just put the screws back in where they were before you removed the splash guard. I will not accept the car if there will be holes in teh outter part of the car where it may be visible, that would be awful.

The splash guards are installed with screws in the wheel well. The front ones can be removed/installed with the wheels turned left or right. Installing / removing the rear ones will require removal of the rear tires. There is also adhesive tape used on the splash guards as well which will require removal.

IMO, if you have them, just leave them ... they are very subtle and not worth the trouble to remove.

I am very **** I really want to remove them. So I am assuming it is possible to remove, just time consuming? If anybody needs a pair of black splash guards or sport springs that are brand new let me know.

As part of negotiating with the dealer, you could try asking them to remove (and not charge you for) the splash guards. If you already have the car w/ splash guards, see if you can live with them before removing them. As terrycs mentioned, they are subtle, and IMO, actually look good. The thread below has some splashguard pics:

You'll be able to remove them no problem.

I like the look of the splash guards as well.

And don't forget...most importantly...they will also help protect the lower areas of the body from road debris and take the chips that would otherwise be ON the car.

Well I really don' t think they look all that good. I think it would look better without them. Not to mention I am getting 20x9.5 rear and 20x8.5 front wheels and I am sure removing them would give more clearance.

I don't think you would get any more clearance.

I have had an 06 and now the 07. On my 06 I didn't have the spash guards on, without them there is a lot more kick up on the panel from the wheels. They do not interfere with clearance, as I now have 20's on the 07 but they really reduce the road debris. My friend has a LP without and after 1,200 miles he ordered them from the dealer after her saw his first series of bad scratches.

This is just g-wiz info but looks like the 07 front splash guards are the same as the 06/07...

For the Sport, is it the same splash guards as Infiniti has on the web site? http://www.infiniti.com/g_sedan/dealer_accessories.html.

The web site lists the splash guards as available on G35, G35 Journey and G35x AWD, but not the Sport.

Get the dealer to remove them for you.. You have the power.. until you hand them the check...
