Good point Shane, but it would be nice if they changed it for a more durable chrome grill. I can't believe how bad my Grill looks, but I seem to have rock chips all over the place. Damn Alberta and our damn winters!!

If it makes you feel any better Christian, Infiniti is capable of making a decent quality chrome grille. The grille on my 03 Sedan was in far better shape after 3 years than my 07 is after 6 months. I'm still quite confident that Infiniti will rectify this issue, but I guess we'll see.

I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case.

New grille........

If you like what you find on another model why not just create it yourself?
Have the inside bars chromed black and leave everything else alone. That
would also save yourself some cash for your next mod, plus black chrome
will never pit.....no worries!

That's what I'm thinking, I wish some one would be able to offer it exactly how it looks in the Infiniti website.

The TL TYPE S has a special dark finish on their grills to. I wonder if they have the same problem as INIFINITI? OH well anyways

HONDA

haha been wanting to use that one for a while now
Don't hate on Honda.. please don't flame me either. I miss my little CRX somethin fierce RIP. While it is in another class than the G it was still a great little car.

As far as the grill goes.. I'll be looking into those grills from japan maybe they'll be available here when I finally get my G.. if not i'll lookin into blacking out the grill or getting a JDM Nissan grill to see if the quality is any better.

Hmm... possible group buy? I'm really liking the Impul Grille and have a possible shipper that is on a base so he could ship them as if he were in the states... anyone else interested?

I'd get one, even if it weren't chipping, I like the looks of it over the stock. However can anyone confirm it will fit and what will shipping the part from there to here run (ballpark).

I made a formal complaint to Infiniti corporate the other day from the road. After almost 18k miles it's becoming so bad you can see it from a good distance.

I figure by 35k it'll look just like the brochure - all black! It's a feature!

*rolls eyes*

(in the last 18k miles i've had some real questions to myself about nissan fit and finish build quality - mechanically everything seems to work flawlessly, but they falter quite a bit on the cosmetics afaict)

The G37's grill looks quite a bit different than the new sedan's.

Yeah, it definitely does. It doesn't twist at the ends like the Sedan's does. I wonder if the grille on the G37 will be plagued with the same quality issue as the Sedan?
