I've had the same popping issue since I got it. Took it in to the dealer, they thought it was a speaker issue so they replaced the center speaker. that didn't fix the problem and they finally figure it out and said it's a grounding issue...

it's not a big deal to me and it doesn't appear to adversely affect anything... i've come to accept it...

So they didn't have to replace the Bose amp? I just think it's weird that it's only the center channel doing it. I looked at the amp--it is bolted to a metal plate and has two harnesses. I don't know what could be corrected with that setup.

I just trust the dealer to care enough to try to find out what to do next, although they do admit it is not normal.

The reason why I am interested in this problem is because 5 times this winter, my battery drained by just sitting for 5 days--the dealer said they couldn't find anything wrong and recommended disconnecting the battery if my car sits for a few days(?!?!). So anything electrical that is not right, I am interested in seeing corrected.

Just wanted to follow up. My dealer ended up replacing the Bose amp. Curiously the old part has a slightly different part number, 28061 JK00--new one is 28060 JK60A. In any case, I am happy to report that the problem is solved.

If you have a "pop" from the center speaker when starting up the car from ACC, definitely get the dealer to fix it for you! Thanks to Nismo86 for telling me that his dealer replaced the Bose amp to solve this issue.

I was worried that they might not be able to reproduce the problem since it is only about 30% of the time. When it does happen, sometimes it is really loud. At first they did not know what to do about it but they said that Infiniti Tech support recommended the Bose amp replacement so that is what they did.

Bose Amp Popping

Mine does this too from time to time and I usually notice it more often when the car is in ACC mode and then I turn it on.

Anyone have any experience with a supplemental grounding kit?

I wonder if this issue would be resolved by adding some more solid grounding points.

It's the bose amp. Grounding isn't going to do anything.

My car does this too.. I guess replacing the amp is an option but it obviously isn't under warranty and is probably gonna cost quite a bit.

I get it too once and a while. I figured it was just the system booting up and the little pop noise was not a big deal. Not going to fix it, not worth it. Doesn't really even bother me.
