Has this happened to anyone? No idea how this happened. It is on the right passenger side. Seems like the paint / rocker panel is kinda weak if this is from a rock chip. The paint is peeled from the rear, unlike a normal rock chip.

 

oh no! time to get some touch up paint or a local detailer who can fix it for you.

 

This happened to me on my old car - ran over an 18 wheeler tread in the highway, and it slapped up against the car hard enough to peel a strip like that. Damn truck retreads...
