haha. good to see im not the only one. at least when i bought my 06, they showed me how to open the cover.

i thought it would be the same on the 07 sedan.

anyways, this is a freaking nice ride man. the interior is 10x better. also, the ride is a lot smoother compared to my 6mt coupe.

I have a problem every time I drive my GF's car. This is the first car that didn't have a gas cap release so now every time I have to go back in and find it.

the gas door does not open if the doors are locked.

im freaking retarded or what.

anyone know where it is?
It's a new design. You don't need gas to run this car

On a serious note, you have to make sure your car is unlocked then just push the cover of the gas tank (on the right side) and you know what to do from there.

Haha. I did the same thing.

I knew I was supposed to press the right side of the door but it wouldn't open.

My car was unlocked too.

So I quickly got into my car and went to a different one.

Infiniti tried to copy of BMW's design.

BMW has been doing gas doors like this forever.

I personally don't like Infiniti's design, BMW is a little different (more like FX?) where you push in on the other side and it is spring loaded and pops out.

Feels much more substantial, the Infiniti design is chintzy.

BMW has a "central locking system" which locks *everything*, including gas door. Infiniti is copying this design.

not true, old or new, you have to unlock the whole car in order for the gas door to be unlocked.

You said it. On my car the lid bends, moves and sometimes rubs against the car. Constantly having to adjust it and tighten it.
