G's Xeons Not as Blue?
G's Xenon Not as Blue?
Okay, so I was at my mother in law’s house tonight with my wife and we took two cars. On the way out I told my wife that I wanted her to drive the G home because we just got it and I wanted her to drive it for the first time.
So I took the maxima and she had the G. On the way home I was glancing at the car non stop, looking at the body and lights and then I noticed that the xenon head lights we’re not the blueish color like my maxima, but were still pretty bright.. what gives? I thought I had those annoying blue lights that everyone loves… Anyone else notice that their lights arent as blue as typical xenon headlights?
Next time have your wife or girlfriend drive your G in back of you while your infront and see for yourself.

i don't think the dealer will have 8000k bulbs in stock. you'd have to get them somewhere else.. find out the size of your bulb and search on ebay for 8000k..
but with 8000k, u're losing light output. most ppl get 6000k for white/blue color and u wouldn't lose much output

Stock are @ ~4300K which gives the best light output!
If you go any higher, you are just changing the hue and color of the light; but the higher you go above ~4300K, the less light output you will have.
I think 8000K's are useless. They are just way too blue with a hint of purple and output will be signigicantly affected.
6000K look fine; you won't lose as much light output as a 8000K and they have a good hue to them

It's the projectors. Both have 4300K bulbs in there, but they have different projectors. Maxima projectors have a a nice fat color cut off and they throw out a lot of blue/purple light. the G35 uses a different kind of projector that doesn't produce such a colorful cut off line.
