Does anyone have a black front bra? I'm thinking of getting one because I did not get a clear bra, and I have some road trips I have to do. I drove to San Antonio this weekend, and I got my first two rock chippings on the bumper.

 

For two reasons, I wouldn't put one on my G. 1. It will cover up the front of such a nice looking car......and 2. If you don't take them off regularly, water from washings or rain will stay underneath the bra and fade your paint in a BIG way. I had one years ago on my MR2 and it was such a PITA, I'll never own one again.

 

I second Canuck. If your G is still fairly new, invest the money in a clear bra - worth every penny.

 

I use one when I go on road trips.. It's really ugly, but i'd rather sacrifice looks for a few hours to save the bumper in the long run

 

Yes, but I've read so many bad things about clear bra's...and I live in TX, where it is hella hot...so the clear bra could be more of a hassle. Also, I wash my car once a week, and I'm scared I'll damage it. I just need something for long trips.

 

I did use it on my way back to Arizona home last week. Well, all I can say is it is waste of money. The freakin' bugs get trapped in between the car and the nose mask, and they will just stay there until you take it off.

I understand why you want to get the black bra, but just don't do it. Not worth it. Just consider getting some clear bras on the front end.

 

You don't think it helped against rocks at all?
