Came Back, and Windows Wide Open??

Hey all, I feel bad for one of my first posts being this retarded...

But I just came back home after leaving my G for about 3 hours (parked right outside my house, really safe neighborhood etc.), and my windows (ALL 4) were WIDE OPEN!!! It had rained a little bit in the afternoon and my interior was pretty wet too, etc.

Here's the problem: I DO NOT REMEMBER MY WINDOWS BEING OPEN WHEN I LEFT THE CAR. One main reason is because I had my AC on high blast because it was hot today so there's no way my windows were open. Also, I NEVER EVER touch the back windows if no one's sitting back there. I remember helping my mom carrying some groceries in from the car, and she stayed in the car for about 5 minutes after I left it because she was busy on the phone and the door was left open during this time. Anyway, I saw her leave the vehicle, and I pushed the lock button and heard the honk sound from inside the house (proving the engine was turned off).

My car was not burglarized. There was money in the glove compartment and an IPOD in the other compartment and neither were touched. Everything is in place. If I had any reason to believe this was my fault, I'd feel terribly irresponsible... but fact of the matter is I don't see any reason the windows could have been left open besides if my mom had played around with it immediately after the car was shut down.

Here's one question I have left to ask, and I doubt I'll get any responses I want but I gotta try anyway: Is there ANY way the windows could have been opened thru a glitch or thru my mom leaving the door open too long or something?

Thanks for your responses. And yes, I know I really dodged a bullet and my situation could have been far worse on this one.

I think there is a way to make the windows roll up/down when you lock/unlock. I'm not sure. I know it can be done in some cars, but I'm not sure about the G35.

Maybe the UNLOCK button on the i-key was held down by mistake while in your pocket.....that will open the windows.

It happened because you pressed the unlock button 2x which automatically drops all the windows

the only way to roll the windows back up is to take the key and turn it to the lock position on the drivers door and hold it for 5 secs.

But you have to have the premium package for the rear windows to go down.

No, wrong. If you press the unlock button twice it simply unlocks all 4 doors. If you HOLD the unlock button in for 2-3 seconds, all 4 windows will open... completely, unless you release the button while they're lowering.

Well Hate to say this, But it is Kinda easy for anyone especially Thieves to break in our G's!! All they do is Punch the keyhole the right way with say a Screwdriver, and like a Key, all they do is Twist and all the Windows Roll down, and take whatever they want form the car without the Factory Alarm going oFF! Now why Nissan Designed it this way beats me! Wish they only made the Windows Roll up with the Keyhole not Both Ways! So I took out my keyhole, and bought a Passenger Side Cover that has no Keyhole, and put it On the Drivers side! Now a Downside to this is that if your Car battery ever Dies, you have no way to get into your G! So If anyone knows a better way to disable this Feature, Please Post!

Other solution

Do a search, but someone opened up the panel and removed the hook that linked the key to the window actuator, and i believe gave pretty detailed instructions.
