Stereo volume fluctuation?

Is the volume on the stereo supposed to fluctuate? It SEEMS to normally go down when I slow down, or stop, and then increase back to full volume I had it at when I speed up again...it's mostly a pain in the butt though.

You must have the audio volume adjuster on... it increases the volume to compensate for road noise. Settings>>Audio
It can be turned OFF = no changes during speed changes.

sweet!

thanks, I will give it a try. it is SO freaking annoying!
I guess that's why I should read the manual, eh?
I have been just so stoked to drive it since I bought it, I have not bothered to read it yet!

ok, just turned it completely OFF

it must come set to 5 as the default from the factory, because I don't believe I ever adjusted it before. what a relief to get that annoying "feature" disabled.

Yes, it was driving me insane

I was about to call the dealer about it, but figured I would ask about it here first. Glad I did!

Does anyone use this feature? I guess it would be useful when running winter tires. My road noise isn't too bad with summer tires.

I love it.
On my old car, I always had the sunroof open; it was great never having to fiddle with the volume ****.
On this car, I set the SCV lower, because the interior is so quiet. It still works great, because the small amount of road noise on I-12 is compensated.

I beg to differ. I find the SVC feature very useful. On my previous cars (pre my 04' coupe), I had to keep on cranking up the volume every time I got on the highway and turn it back down when getting off.

Now the volume level stays the same no matter what speed I'm at. Seamless.

instead of turning it off, try a less sensitive setting. yours is probably set to max sensitivity. I have mine set to the first setting (active, but not aggressive).
