Looks great. Anyone else think it's funny that the chrome on the trunk was tougher to remove than the grille?

That color matched chrome on the trunk is sweet, I'll definately be doing that to my IP, Wonder what it'd look like on other colors

im with you man, at first i thought this is gonna turn out easy untill i start sanding it. maybe no more than 30 mins tops but it ended up to be a 2 day job. thank god all my hard work wasnt a waste and it came out better than i expected.
if anyone plans on doing so let this be a warning, you might be able to have a bodyshop to do it but be ready to pay tons of $$$.
thx for the compliment, maybe some 19 or 20 sevas in gold might do the trick.
thats in later future tho, already spent too much on the car.

btw if anyone wonders why not just paint over the chrome piece n be done with. NOTHING STICKS ON CHROME PERIOD, thats what my body shop guys said and hes probaly right.

dang that looks sweet!

Maybe move the rear Fuji emblem down a bit. It looks a lil' high now that the letters have been removed.

So do you think you would say it would be worth it to get the grille and rear deck lid "accent" piece painted by a body shop if you had to do it all over again? Would a bead blaster significantly help the stripping of chrome from those pieces? Just getting my ducks in line for a possible black out with gunmetal accents project on my car. BTW, your car is looking good! I love black roofs on white cars.

Thanks!

honestly i think i would do it again. knowing that the price i pay would be sanding that for days i still would do it. the outcome is very rewarding and i think its look 100x nicer than the ugly chrome.
be prepare to pay good money just to sand that piece off. if i were dont even mention how hard is it and see what he quotes you. gl
