Question about break lights.

I stole this pic from a different user. Only being used for educational purposes. Anyways, I notice this part of the vehicle light up on a lot of pics. Is this the break light, a reflection, when do these lights go on?

Those are just the Tailight Reflecters. When anykind of light Hits them, they light up. Just like whats on a regular Bicycle, so they can see you Better at night. It Does not light up wehn you step on the cars Brake pedal! Hope that helps ya.

^ +1. You should see only two rings of LEDs when the brakes are pressed. What you see are the reflectors that are required by US laws, so the headlights from a moving vehicle can notice you, whether you're parked or moving.

They light up in pics because of the camera flash.

Yup, those lights come on when you are taking a break with your car. Now, if you are talking about the brake lights, then no, those are not them.

Break = broken
brake = stop
