Question about aftermarket products on a leased vehicle

Right now I'm leasing my G and at the end of my lease will probably end up buying the car if it holds up well. My question is this: What kind of aftermarket mods can you do to a leased vehicle without voiding lease terms, warranty, etc? I know that tints, rims, and tires are fine as long as the stock rims and tires go back on when you turn the vehicle back in. My question is more about suspension work (just lowering springs in this case). My understanding is that as long as the aftermarket equipment cannot be directly attributed to having caused a malfunction in the vehicle, that it does not void a warranty. Is this correct information that I have received?
