The M is also getting an exterior makeover along with the new M45x. That should be interesting.

It will be very interesting to see what type of tires they will use on the AWD sport model.
Are the wheels the same as the current sport wheels? They MUST be different, because the current ones are staggered.
And we have heard that staggering creates problems with the AWD system.
And they obviously can't be using summer only tires on the sport AWD, right?!
I guess I'm kinda pissed now, I would have gotten an AWD sport, best of both worlds....
Does anyone have pictures or specific info on the wheel/tire setup?

it would be interesting to see what size and tires they use. There's no reason why they can't stagger an AWD just as long as the AWD system is designed to handle it.
I don't see any reason why they won't use summer only tires. The STi and Evo come with summer only tires.
I'd seriously have considered a G35X with the sport package if it were available on the '07s.

I think a more accurate comparison would be that of the xi BMW series, also not offered here in Austin regularly.
Audi's Quattro has more a sports car appeal and marketing program around it, however, Infiniti and BMW's AWD offerings do not have that and are truly designed for use and sale in snow country. Audi however has to do that otherwise all of their cars would be considered FWD. BMW and Infiniti are already offering superior RWD platforms so offering AWD nationwide really isn't necessary.
