Any news on the updated transmission or changes to the transmission for the 08 g35x?

Also any news on change of cost of the nav package?

Thanks. I went to 2 dealers while on a trip to California and neither dealer knew exactly what is going to be available on the '08s.

Very disappointed so far... I wish I could find out for certain before my 07 comes.

If you go over to nissannews.com and find your way to the G37 then select specifications, it will detail out the packages. I suspect, but do not know, the 08 sedan will follow the g37 lead. I do see that the sport package option on the Journey is exactly the same equipment as the g37S. That is good news for me as it would allow the sport package to be purchased with the wood interior option. I plan on ordering a 08 just as soon as I can see the actual specifications for the car.

Link to Dealer launch information for the g37 for additional information. http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/265659

I was hoping that this month you would be able to order a 2008 G35x (AWD) with sport package. My dealer just informed me that it was not available for this month ordering. So maybe next month.

Will the AWD Sport have 18's and be lowered more like the 07 Sport? It needs it.

2008 G35 Sedan

2008 G35 Sedan are here. They arrived today at most dealers.

The new 2008 G35 Sport is available with 6 speed manual only. On the Journey model 5AT you can add sport package for $1650 msrp(invoice $1422). This package DOES include larger brakes which was on the 2007 Sport model. According to 2007 brochure and infiniti site all G35 seem to have same suspension(However I could be wrong). I think the 'stiffer' sport suspension is for the coupe. So pretty much the 2008 Journey 5AT with sport package will have everything 2007 sport model have.

From the 2008 G35 brochure:
SPORT PACKAGE
-includes all G35 Sport 6MT standard equipment, excludes 6-speed manual transmission
-Solid-magnesium paddle shifters mounted on steering column
-Foot-operated parking brake
Available on G35 Journey

SPORT PACKAGE AWD
-Solid-Magnesium paddle shifter mounted on steering column
-Split 7-spke 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-season tires
-Unique front fascia and side sills
-Front sport seats with thigh extension and driver's power torso and thigh support adjustment
-Unique sport steering wheel stitching
-Alumimum pedals
Available on G35x AWD

Base price for 2008 Journey is $32,050 msrp. A $150 increase from 2007.

The Journey sports package requires premimum package. MSRP for 2008 premimum is $2500(invoice $2040), a $150 increase from 2007 msrp.

Thanks for the update. Any word on the X with Sport package?
