Automatic Lights issue

Did anyone notice the following problem: when driving with the headlights set to Auto mode, and passing alternately through dark and bright areas (like passing under bridges, for example), sometimes the lights would come on and stay on (i.e, they don't shut off when I come out of the shadow area). I wouldn't mind too much except that the instrument panel is dimmed a lot when the lights come on, so if it stays dimmed after I come out into the sun, it's hard to read the gauges with sunglasses on.

Is there something wrong with the light sensor at the base of the windshield, and should I contact my dealer about it?

Hmmm, I have noticed that my lights will come on when passing under a bridge, but they turn off pretty quickly once I'm through.

If it bothers you much then you can reduce the light sensitivity. There are 4 levels you can select.
