Curbed a Sport wheel?

I did (haven't done it in several years, and did it within two weeks on the G - sigh...). Anyway, the repair place did a good job but I could still tell. And the dealer wants $700+ for ONE new wheel

So just bought a package of four new Sport wheels and tires ($1,100, pretty sweet), and will use one rear wheel for my G, and the other for my buddy's G who got a little overzealous with oversteer.

Still have two front wheels available if anyone needs one - per the shop that sold them, they have <10 miles on them (and they're spotless).

New Wheels

What kind of Sport Wheels did you buy? Were they OEM or aftermarket? I am in the market for a set of winter wheels/tires and don't want to spend $700 per wheel for OEM.

OEM 18s (the stock ones for a sport). The front two wheels are available.

$1,100, but it included wheels AND tires, all of which were brand-new. I got lucky, had been watching on eBay, and saw several sets which were not receiving any bids. This set had been coming down each time for a month, and they were a local outfit. So finally I called them and offered them $1,100 plus tax, and they agreed.

Yeah, I've done that

I curbed my RR sport wheel very very slightly pulling out of a space. This was my first time with a car that had metal at curb level instead of tire. Horrified, I got out and looked at it - a slight burr had been lifted and I scraped it off with my fingernail and drove home. Later, I cleaned the wheel and after that, I could only find the spot if I looked for like 2 minutes. So I got off lucky, and the lesson is strong in my mind - we're turning METAL at curb level. If we graze the curb, it's a collision, and we can expect damage.
