Have you found the solution to your broken license plate holder screw holes? Mine broke this weekend.

The screws which go through the license plate apparently screw into captive nuts. One screw comes out just fine, but the other just turns and turns? I wanted to remove the plate (it got bent) to straighten it out and then put on a frame. The dealer says to forget about it, because the bumper has to be removed to get to the nut. I'm not willing to pay for that. Any ideas?

 

Just take the bumper off yourself, it's not rocket science.

 

Brilliant. I wish I had thought of that, because I'm not a rocket scientist. But I also can't get down on the ground to work on the car. Bummer.

 

So pay a shop to do the work.
