No passenger voice control?

The designers of the G35 seem to have thought of everything, but the other day a friend and I ran across something that could have been designed better: voice control for the front passenger. I mean, when the passenger wants to issue a voice command (like changing the passenger temperature, for example), the driver has to push the steering-wheel button to initiate the voice control mode. That doesn't seem like intelligent design. Or am I missing something?

Why would the passenger need to issue any commands by voice control, my understanding is that voice commands are supposed to allow the driver to keep their eyes on the road.

Haha, very funny... Actually, some people that I've driven do complain that I drive too fast.

Anyway, I gave one example above of when the passenger would want voice control: to change the climate control setting for his/her side. Granted they can just turn a **** to do that, but wouldn't it be cool if the passenger can initiate voice control mode and do everything that the driver can do also? Just a thought.

(I guess I'm also carrying some passengers that are too demanding )

I don't even use the voice commands myself, it only gets 1/10 correct.

Me too! lol

I baby it when the wife is in the car but she doesn't drive it, so she doesn't understand how the car reacts.
Sometimes, it's like the car is driving me, like Christine or something.

I try to driive slow... really!
It's not my fault that the car goes from 0-30 in 7 feet. LOL

I think the wife needs a neck brace and a blindfold.

Have you had the voice-tag TSB done? In addition to voice tags it says it addresses voice recognition accuracy.

No I haven't, but I really don't enjoy the dealership experience here so I keep putting this stuff off assuming that they'll just find an excuse not to do the work and Infiniti Canada is no better to me.

Exactly. My wife normally drives a Camry, so she wouldn't understand that it doesn't take much to cause that neck-jerking lunge in the G!
