There are better ways of giving this same advice than the method above. "When spending this amount of money a 2k difference is not that large." would be a better method. The issue was really that I was asking a simple question. there was no need for malice. If I took it the wrong way to begin with then I apologize. I will be looking for a used car with prem. and nav. I wanted to know that if later on i could add the nav package so I could be able to find a nice car that is the color I want but might not have the nav package now. that simple. $7k was a bit high, but I have been seeing a steady $5k though. usually $3k less for the car being used with low miles and then another $2k for the package itself. As for me having some respect for older members I'll give respect when I receive it. You can have a million posts and still be a jerk. does not mean I have to be nice because you are on the forum more than I.

Again if I originally took the post wrong I apologize. But when first reading it I saw it as a jerk thing to say.

Thats exactly my point. Thank you shane. And I am one of the younger men on these forums 17 to be exact. Its just common sense. There is no reason for you to get the car now w.o nav and add it later because of a 1-2k difference in price if you can buy a used car that has both. If 2k is to much of a difference now on a car, you shouldn't be financing one anyway. have a nice day.

it is not so much the $ as it is the availability of a used car with both packages. I am wanting to buy used to save some $ but the only ones I can find either are base or have only the prem. package. If I wanted to buy it new with the features I would, I just dont want to have that kind of a car note each month. Buying it used will save me at least $4-5k. I have $10k for a d/p now just need to find the right one ya know? If I had the option of adding nav later then I would buy a nice one with the prem. package and add it to the car when I could. If I can't then I'll either live without it, (buy a hand held one) or just wait it out.

If the factory Navi is something you want (and don't forget that you also get the CF slot, Music Box, and voice activation), than I would wait it out. You may as well get the car you want if you are spending that much money anyways. Good luck, I hope you find the one you're looking for.

I would assume that the cost to go from used to new equivalent is $5000, and another $2000 for the Nav.
