Steering wheel controls

Has anyone had problems with the volume control on the steering wheel. Last week the lower volume (-) felt like it was starting to get sticky. Was going to have it checked out at my next service but now the (-) doesnt work and only the (+) works.

I read a while ago that someone had problems with the volume controls on the sterring wheel. Can you guys tell me your expereince with having this fixed or if this is even happening to anybody else.

Do you think they can replace a part or will it have to be the whole sterring wheel. How long did it take?

Thanks

Soon after I got my car I noticed the the lower volume (-) button was making a clicking noise when you pushed it. It hasn't gone away. I am thinking about taking it in to have it looked at. Let us know what they tell you if you take it in.

Same thing happened to me. Dealer said it was normal and they wouldn't fix it even after showing them 2 cars in their show room that didn't have this problem.

Spray a little silicon (LPS) and it should fix the issue.

Are you sure? The button isn't actually sticking, it just sounds that way. It works fine.

No problems whatsoever after 9 months. In fact, the sound system as a whole sounds better now then when it was new. No more booming or scratching sounds from my door speakers. I love it.

Happened to me. I put a couple shots of compressed air in there and it cleared it up. Might have gotten a little something in there.

i think that the issue with this is the dealer must have either one used some chemicals to clean that could have caused it to be thjat way.. another thing is that maybe the people in japan didnt rip the plastic that covers it all the way off.. im not entirely sure.. i dont have the same problem..

like most said.. spray somethin' in there.. if this happeend to me.. i would use compressed air.. then use those cleaners that remove sticky sh** =)

The problem with mine is it's not sticky at all. It functions perfectly. It just clicks or "sounds sticky".

thanks everyone for the help.

Still going to bring it in now and ask about the sticky noise when i click it and to see why it didnt work for like 3 days, since i need to bring it in now for the gas cap TSB. Will keep you updated
