Is there a way to set up the NAV so I can preview like 10 xm channels at a time and see what song is on before I select that station? also is there a way to tune to the xm stations without having them in the presets using the steering wheel controls?

Nope, not possible.

You can tune to a particular station using voice controls so you don't have to turn the **** to get to a particular non-preset station.

The only device I've seen that can do this is the Sirius Stilleto.

The manual says that the SCAN-RPT button jumps between categories on XM radio.

The XM Skyfi2 did this and I miss it a lot. Unfortunately there is nothing like this.
