Got my G35s 6MT this weekend...
Ordered my Black Obsidian, Graphite interior G35s on May 23rd and it came in on the 28th of June. It seemed like it took forever but I can't complain because the car was well worth it. I don't think I've seen a car with this much tech and this kind of performance for the price. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. It looks like an Infiniti dealership at work now since my buddy got a new FX45 and we always park next to each other.
I decided to go with the 6MT even though I've never owned a manual before and have limited experience driving one. I feel like a retard because I stall the thing once or twice a day. Spent tonight just learning how to launch it smoothly in a parking lot.
Things that I love about the car:
1. The music box
2. The nav - I didn't think I'd use it but I used it twice today. Once trying to find a restaurant for lunch and once while I was driving around trying to get used to the manual and got lost in some neighborhoods.
3. The looks I get from chicks at lights...this happens when I'm on my motorcycle but never when I drove my old Jeep. It also seems like people like to drive next to you just to look at the car.
4. The keyless entry...I've walked out to the car multiple times thinking I had to put my stuff down, reach into my pocket and unlock the doors but then I remember I can just touch the door handle...pretty badass.
5. The gauges are a huge upgrade from the previous generation and are way better than comparable 335i gauges.
6. It doesn't automatically lock your doors or beep at you when your seatbelt isn't on. This annoys me to no end in modern cars.
A few things I don't like or have questions on:
1. Is there a way to switch the direction of seek button? When I have a CD in or a song is playing on the music box I keep hitting the up button to seek forward but that seems to go backwards. This is completely counter-intuitive.
2. Can you get the music box to randomize songs? I'd like to have the whole HD as a playlist and just get it to randomize like winamp.
3. Sometimes when using the music box when I hit menu I only have 4 options and can't get to the play by artist or search by album features. Not really sure why that happens.
4. Too few presets. I've got like 10 channels on satellite radio I want set, not to mention my normal FM presets. Is there a way to get more than 18 (24 if you count the preset AM and FMs on each source).

One tip for getting better at driving a stick - try to engage the clutch from a full stop without using the accelerator at all. This will require you to very slowly release the clutch and pause a bit right at the engagement point. Once you get a feel for where the clutch engages, it will become super easy for you to start from a stop w/o stalling.

1. I don't think you can switch the direction of the seek button. I had the same problem but I got used to it real fast. It feels natural to me now.
2. Yes, you can play the songs in random order. Just hit the "repeat" button until you see "music box mix" or something similar to that.
3. I believe this is happening because the car is in motion. If it is stopped you should be able to access these features.
4. I feel you on the presets. Can't help you there.
