Paid $102 for a set of Infiniti all season floor mats. With only 5K miles on my car, I have discovered a hole worn in the mat where my left (clutch) foot rests. I loved these mats until I saw this. Does anyone know of any all season rubber mats that will look good, stay put, and not wear out this fast? These are going back to the dealer.

I would check WeatherTech....their products are supposed to be durable.

I have the same problem except my heels put an actual hole in mine.

i have the inifiniti all season floor mats. no issues, b/c i press the clutch in/out without my heel touching the mat. if your heel is dragging on the mat, i suspect weathertech will not last long either.

I just received mine today from Weather Tech, I ordered model # W24 for black front mats

i bought some really good floor mats from Sam's club, front and rear for only 20 bucks. They are heavy, all the mats together i say are about 15-20 lbs. They have deep groves to catch dirt and spills, and I have them on all three of my cars. My brother threw up on the floor of my TL last week, and the floor mat caught all of it, all i had to do was rinse/wash the mat, and not a single bit on my car.

I got a set of the Lloyd's Rubbertite™ mats, it is a super thick black rubber material with little cups uniformly molded all along the top surface to catch rain water or mud tracked inside. They are cut to an exact fit, even down to the hole for the little floormat locating pins.

They also make a trunk mat from the same heavy material including the little molded cups and it catches the spills from stuff people might normally carry in their trunks.

I recall paying something like one hundred fifty bucks for all five pieces, this was from an ebay vendor.

Well, I don't leave my heel on the mat when depressing the clutch, either. In fact, I tried to shift gears with my heel on the mat and I couldn't do it. Take a look at your mat where your heel rests and see if there is a hole forming. It isn't obvious unless you look for it.

I got some good thick mats at BJ's for $20. They are great, just had to cut them a little bit to fit on the driver side.

took a look at my all season mats again with a flashlight. so far so good. had the car since end of April, at around 2K miles, mostly city stop-and-go driving.

How is the fit with the Weather Tech mats? They're a little pricey so I want to make sure they fit well before I make order them. I'm also planning on buying their rubber trunk mat.

The fit of the truck mat is A1. When you first throw it in you think, what the hell? why did they cut it like that. Then you look at the car and you understand why. I've been very happy with it. The floor mats I'm sure are the same material and fit. The surface of Weather Tech is a rubbery plastic. The surface is more slick than the rubber mats that came with the car and probably tougher.

I wonder why so many people leave there winter mats in the car year around. The carpet mats look much better, although they are cheap. If they wear out, no big deal, buy new ones. If you are going to spend over $100 for rubber mats buy some nice carpeted mats instead. They look MUCH better anyway. Yeah, I know you can rinse off rubber mats, but you can do the same with carpet mats. I wash my car at home, but once a quarter you can take your car to the pressure car wash and pressure wash them. Let them dry and they are as good as new. I have a pressure washer at home which I will use for this. They work wonders. Just a thought.

Carpet mats wear too quickly around the gas pedal and I hate getting snow on the carpet mats as it tends to leave marks. Also, the rubber mats have a lip to keep water from running onto the carpet, so it also stays in better shape. I wish they would release their rubber mats with the luxury carpet insert for the G.
