I almost wish they would just figure out what it is, or at least tell me so I can fix it when my warranty is up. But they have been very nice so far.
That's good to know...Well, I tried greasing the assembly yesterday and it helped, but it still squeaked a couple times. If it comes back, I'll bring it to the dealer. Have about 2 months left on the bumper-to-bumper warranty....

Took it to the dealer, and they said that the "pivot perch" for the clutch pedal was dry and dirty, so they cleaned and lubed it. all is good now! It was covered under the factory warranty.

jus an update: dealer finally got the parts in and installed the new clutch assembly today. it even still has the platic tape on the clutch pedal.
i think this might be in my head but it seems like the clutch pedal has gotten alot smoother in a good way. after i drove off the dealership i definetly knew there was a difference, it wasnt as stiff as before. the engaging point is still the same but the pedal didnt felt that hard to press down.
either that or it could be me not driving the car for 2 days.

Has anyone had this fix done out of warranty? I got it cleaned/lubed once while still in warranty, but now the problem is back, and I'm wondering how much this will cost.

Nice to know this problem is still around on the new models too! My 08 G35 sedan 6MT has the same clutch creak when released slowly. It's so annoying! I did a little investigating, found the source of the noise and applied some white lithium grease. Unfortunately that only fixed it for about a week and now it's back. My previous G's (04 and 05 coupes) never had this clutch noise, even after 20K miles. I'll be making a dealer visit soon.
