Steering feel of sport vs. non sport
Has anyone been able to compare the steering feel of these? I've got an opportunity to drive the non-sport but didn't like the steering feel at all (compared to my 06 sedan w/ sport susp.). I felt like the steering feels a little numb. I am thinking of trading in my 06 for a 07 sport only if the sport model has a more direct steering feel.
The steering feel about the same, but the entire car feel is much different. With sport you feel more connect to the road and the seat holds you much better around the corner. The sport feel faster and it seems like the power is put more to the ground due to the fact that the susp is firmer. I would buy the sport over the journey, if I buy the G over again.
the sport model has a stiffer feel to it. i just recieve a loaner, jouney package,pretty much base with 17" wheel and the steering wheel feels a little on the soft side. when i got my car back it i felt a big difference in both.
sport= stiffer,tighter steering= better imo
non-sport= too lose, still not as bad
bottom line test drive both and see for yourself

I've figured that the slightly different ride feel was due to the 18" tires on the S when comparing to something like an X with the 17's.
Can anyone actually confirm any differences between the Sport/non-Sport suspensions?

It really depends on your use for the car. For me I wanted a smoother ride(coming from a long list of sports cars, and sports sedans) and more isolated feel. For people looking for a replacement 4 door sports car the journey might not be ideal, but for people looking for a sporty feel yet smoother, isolated ride on on all road types. Yeah it could be a little tighter but I would not want to trade any more ride compliance for handling prowness. To each their own I guess.

Shocks are different. Sway bars are most likely thicker on the sport as well.

I have verified this with my dealer as well. Salesman originally said the suspension was the same so I asked him to check with his service/parts dept. The sports does run stiffer dampers.
shocks are different in a sport... and i believe the sways are the same. both have the hand stitched steering wheel but you get a little more road feel from the bigger wheels and brakes

Both cars are basically the same. Any differences are so very slight that the road feel would not really be affected. The firmer ride you might notice would be due to the larger tire setup on the Sport.
