Shutter valve problem?

I've heard of the g35 coupe/sedan (pre 2007) having problems with the shutter valve problems, and I was wondering if any of y'all had a problem. I bought my car ~2.5 weeks ago and i pumped gas for the second time the other day and i was only able to get about 8 gallons in, and i know that can't be right, so i kept on trying to pump and it wouldn't let me, so i waited about 3 minutes and i was able to pump about 13 gallons in and it says it's full...

it's not just slang, it's derogatory. Comparable to the "N" word.
