Wiper blade design

I'm on the 2nd week with my new G35 S and I just noticed the design of the wiper blades. The drivers side looks like a big slab of rubber . For those of you that have had your car in rain how do these blades perform?

I searched a few old threads and saw where someone said the replacement cost of these blades is $120. True?

I have no idea what the replacement cost is, but the wipers have worked excellent in rain and snow.

There actually is a removable blade under there - so you're not replacing the whole thing - $120 sounds silly ( maybe for both blade assemblies)... $10 tops for the blade itself.
And YES they work extremely well. I also like the under the hood spray nozzles (but who doesn't?)

the wiper blades that come from factory are crappy as hell...why? because this is an area nissan can cut costs without it being so obvious...

go out and buy some piaa wiper blades and youll be much happier

I usually never need to replace my blades in the 3 year leases I've had... but I do live in Los Angeles, so not much use. But we do get heat and the blades seem to last and work when I do need them.
What problems are you having?
I remember the only time I ever had problems was when I used RAIN-X - it destroyed the wiper blades. They stuttered and didn't work well. I've stopped using rain-x & no issues.

I can't say that I am too happy with them. Before I picked up my car, I had a demo car for a few weeks (about 3000 miles on the odo) and the wipers were already shot.

it looks like it can be replaced with any standard wipers with a hooked connection. Can anyone here verify?

I've thought about changing mine to a standard blade. I'm not sure if its the curvature of the windshield or the fault of the blade but when the drivers side blade is vertical and starts its way back down, it tends to pull the water with it back across the windshield. It has done this since new.

Mine do the same thing, the windshield is never completely clear of water when I use them especially in light rain.

I purchased Bosch replacement blades; their were a complete replacement not just the rubber part. I think I paid about $30 each but they are really good!.

I love 'em - in all the cars I've owned previously, the wipers start lifting off at about 75 or 80 if you spray the windshield or whatever. These stick and still wipe at speed, so I'm a happy camper.
