Question Exhaust Compared To FX & G Coupe

How is the 07 G35 sport's exhaust compared to the FX and G Coupe. Does it sound better than the FX??????? I just wanted to know before hand whether i wanted to get a aftermarket exhaust or does the stock sound nice enough????

The stock exhaust sounds pretty good, but it doesn't sound like the FX or the G35C. It's rather quiet from inside, but at WOT it does sound pretty darn good. The best way I would describe it would be somewhere in between the 1st gen Sedan and the Coupe.

Yeah i love how the FX sounds, do you think adding a cold air intake would do the job or would i have to get a exhaust as well???

Having driven both extensively, I concur.

The FX and G35C exhausts get annoying very quickly, they're too high strung. The G35 Sedan has more of an engine sound, to me the engine (with windows down) sounds more like an e46 M3. The fact that it revs so quickly makes it more so the case.

I heard another G35 sedan doing full throttle and it definitely sounded badazz, where as the G35c and FX sound to gimmicky.

Just my opinion. I had a Z which was calmer than both of those, but it got really old too.

I know what I want: the G37's muffler. That thing just sounds bada$$ under WOT and puts the first generation coupe's exhaust to shame

It purrs like the first generation, but under WOT it has a raspy note, like the E92 M3

Will the G37's muffler fit the G35 07 Sedan?

I just picked up my G from the dealer for a 15k miles service. I got an 06 FX35 as a loaner vehilcle. Drove it like I stole it and the exhaust note is quite nice in the upper rpms. Louder and deeper than the G.

I thought about that also but i don't think it'll work. The G37 exhaust is 2 into 1 design similar to G35 coupe/350z.While i was " lying on the floor in the dealership " i noticed the mid pipe and rear muffler were completely different.
I can't remember were but i heard that's why the G37 trunk space is so small because of the muffler design.

My old FX45 got bit tiring... the internal rumble was a bit much at times.
But I have to say I miss it every once in a while - especially in parking garages LOL.
