Just got my car back from my Infiniti dealer when I just dropped $410 for the 15k mile service. Seems like an awful lot to pay when the only things they charged was the oil, oil filter, air filer, and the cabin micro filter, everything else was inspection. Oh, my tires were rotated and balanced.

Wow - that should be $250 tops for the service you describe (the glove box is easy to get out to change the filter btw).

• Oil / oil filter - $40
• Air filter - $60(tops for two, I'd guess)
• Cabin filter - $100
• Tires rotated / balanced - $60

They charged u for tire rotation on tires that can not be rotated... Better go verify that with them

yep, I paid for the premium service.

I usually do all of my own maintenance aside from coolant and transmission fluid changes. The latter two I usually pass on just because the mess involved.

Cars these days are made to be driven thousands of miles. I've had the 04 coupe for 3 and half years and didn't do anything to it other than the complimentary oil change every 3 months. The car didn't cost me anything to own (service wise), and didn't have a single mechanical problem. Why would I waste money on imaginary work if the car is under warranty?

The only reason I would think of servicing the car was if I were to keep it beyond the warranty period, and even then I would only perform crucial service work. Tire pressure checks, liquid top offs and the like, are nothing but a ripoff.

if i recall the manual correctly (too lazy to look it up), the premium may be worth it for 6mt cars at the 30K service, b/c the premium includes transmission fluid change. otherwise, i agree with other posters that looking and topping off are probably not necessary for a 2007 car.

You can PM gordgee for the lowest price on an in-cabin filter and it comes with good instructions. I think there's two DIYs in that section too-one has pics still up since I used it 2 weeks ago. Gordgee's instructions were better.

Does Infiniti have a wholesaler for OEM parts? I know Acura does..

I know at my 15,000 service they replaced the wiper blades (complete rip) and they did some other things too. I will look for my old receipt and post what they did. that was quite some time ago though. I am almost due for 30,000.
