Does your speed sensitive audio work?

I can't seem to tell the difference on the speed sensitive audio. I've tried different settings but the sound level doesn't sound like it's adjusting with the speed of the car.

I know mine does when I have it on the highest sensitivity but whats funny is the faster I drive the better it sounds (the music gets louder) so when I slow down it gets pretty quiet..

It seems like it the sound goes lower than I originally set it at when I stop at a light..

I don't notice mine until I stop somewhat suddently at a light in a quiet area...then I can hear it get lower all of a sudden likes its catching up. I guess that's what I want though...I don't want to feel like I have to increase my volume while driving on the freeway, and I don't feel like I have to.

mine works. I haven't messed with the settings but it's pretty noticeable in my opinion.

Actually that's the whole point of the system - you shouldn't notice any difference in sound. If you're actually saying that the road noise is overpowering the audio at higher speeds, then yes, check the settings and if nothing works take it to the dealer. Otherwise, if all you're saying is that you don't notice a difference in audio level when accelerating, yet the sound level is still at proper volume - that means the system works.

The best test is to hop on the highway and just gun the car. The instant jump in speed and RPM should create an instant bump in volume (rather than the gradual increase), which you should definitely be able to hear.

Good luck.

Yep, like Speeed said, it's meant to go unnoticed. I had the same feature in my last Focus (wierd eh?) and it was very noticeable which means it wasn't quite as smooth of a system. I have it on the highest setting in the G and don't really notice it that much which is perfect.

I guess I'll have to take it in to the dealer for a fix. I'm having to increase the volume manually at higher speed. Volume should increase noticeably at setting 5, correct?

I have mine set at 4. If I listen for it I can sense it getting louder as the car gains speed.... especially quick acceleration to 50+ mph.
