^^ You can use a program like Tunebite to convert the tracks to unprotected MP3s but it still not very quick. Technically you've purchased a license for use on your computer and ipod, and that's it so they don't want to make it easy.

 

I use SoundTaxi for my conversions. But like ChristianN says, it takes some time for the conversion to run.

 

itunes does this for you, just right click the song or several highlighted songs and then click the "covert to mp3" option. really easy. then the new mp3 files are in the itunes folder in "my music"

 

That iTunes thing doesn't work, it says "could not be converted because protected files cannot be converted to other formats"

 

oh right drm's. sorry I guess the m4a's on mine I converted came from a different source... not sure where.

 

Just to verify - the CF only picks up on MP3 audio files? No data whatsoever? It'd be nice if someone could find a way to load software that will recognize WMV for full length movies
