i think the car has a very solid build quality this time around. The one part of the car that i feel is built a little crappy is this one piece of plastic rite on the center stack. It's at the top where all the buttons are. Its the button piece of that, that has no functions on it and is just like a plastic filler. I notice ive heard something once or twice from that piece, and even if i touch it with my finger it will give a fairly loud creaking sound.

When people say rattle... does this mean with the music bumping pretty loud or with the music off?

I get no rattles with the music off but I get a few when the music is bumping. Not to the point where I can't stand it though.

Mine had a rattle in the rear deck. Think it may have been the sub grill buzzing/rattling? It was pretty much continuous if you were driving on anything other than new asphalt. Dealer fixed it after 2nd attempt. No explanation what was causing it.

5 months of ownership, 6,400 miles on the odo and so far the car is clean of any rattles. Definitely a major improvement over my o4' coupe. (knock on wood).

The G is a much better handling car than the TL. It also has more power, but the engine is rougher at high rpms. The gas mileage is a little worse, but not by much. The bigger gas tank helps too.

Even when I close the door quite gently, there will be a series of a few rattles when I shut it.

It seems that rattles go hand in hand with Infiniti. When I first got my car, there were already posts about rattles. Now after some time, everyone agrees that the rattles are one of the top annoying negatives on the early G35s. The 07 Sedan is not quite a year old and rattle stories are coming in. Let's see what happens next year!

Almost 5K miles and no rattles. My '05 had a number of rattles, most of which were fixed except for the driver vent.

Maybe I've just been lucky.......but I owned an 03 G Sedan for over 3 years and it never had one single rattle. I haven't had any rattles in my 07 so far either. My QX4 did have one rattle coming from the passenger side dash area though.

The Coupe has been notorious for the most rattles probably due to it's more taut suspension.

My rattles didn't start until about 11,000 miles.

In due time the rattle demon seems to show it's ugly face!
