07 Sedan Brake Issues?

OK I am coming from several Acura TLs, but all the orginal G oweners I know comeplained about brakes, being noisy, not lasting and the tons of dust. Is that still an issue on the new 07 G sedans? I am so close to pulling trigger on 07 G35 Journey.

No problems with my brakes on my 07 G35X, they work great and I have had no problems with excessive brake dust.

On my previous G35(2004) I had lots of brake dust & sometimes squeaky brakes. I guess Infiniti fixed the issue on the 07s since I havent had either problem.

I had noise issue with the front. I didn't want to take it in so I took it off and check it myself. About 10 minutes later, I fixed it. There were many little rocks stuck on the brackets. It worked fine ever since.

I think you are referring to old complains coming from 03-04 owners. Especially during the early days of Brembo vs. non Brembo brakes. This issue has been corrected long time ago. Back in 04, Infiniti offered free replacement of those defected brakes (under warranty). All later model years have good brakes.

None so far in mine. Traces of brake dust are minimal at best.

I had three coworkers with me in the car coming back from lunch and some idiot in a Mercedez on his cell cuts over into my lane and just stops like there's nobody around him! I slammed on the brakes barely hitting this guys and my passsengers commented on how good the brakes were. The brakes work great, i don't notice any excessive brake dust and they don't make any noises, so I'm very happy with them.

This morning while driving down a heavily wooded backroad another deer ran out in front of me and I thought this was it . I jumped on my brakes and it was unbelievable how quickly this puppy stopped from my rather high rate of speed. The brakes once again proved their worth. My tires probably have a lot to do with it too, since I am running PS A/S and they sure grip.
One more plus for the 07 brakes .

Brakes are decent, none of squeaking.

Kinda too soft. I might put SS brake lines down the road.

G35x and G35s have different brakes don't they, as where the S has bigger, and x smaller. Any way to put bigger brakes onto the X ?

+1. The brakes on my 03 G Sedan worked great and weren't noisy BUT the brake dust was beyond unbelievable. I had my pads and rotors replaced under warranty on my 03 as well. I have next to no brake dust on my 07 and it's been a VERY nice change.

Brakes are awesome on my S 6MT. Almost no dust at all. I also use REJEX on the wheels, which seems to repel dust and dirt and makes cleaning the wheels a snap.
