'07 Manual transmission question

hey everyone,

I am considering getting a '07 g35 sport sedan with a manual transmission. I test drove one and found it very nice except for one point. The shifter would vibrate pretty noticeably even at idle. I was wondering if any other manual drivers have this issue. Any input would be appreciated. i really like the car...just wondering if this problem is isolated or not

Vibrating shifter is not an isolated "issue." I actually like the vibration as it makes me feel more connected with the car.

yea all the 6mt's do that. Doesnt bother me one bit.

And for the ppl that say our 6mt sucks...i test drove an 07 altima 6mt at my store yesterday and with its long throws and tall *** shifter, and wierd clutch (yes i think its wierd, unless im just used to the g's) I got back in mine and loved it even more.

My friend that owns an M3 drove it the other week and said it felt great - just what a MT should feel like. I like it myself. The vibration doesn't bother me one bit.

Vibration, It's why I bought the car. It felt alive. (and I test drove an E46 the day before I bought the G).

Looks like you found another use for the vibrating shifter of the G35.

I actually thought something was wrong when I picked up my car back in Nov last year. The next day, the saleguy made a follow-up call. "How's everything?" I told him the shift shakes harder than Shakira's booty. But now, I'm so used to it, and it does make the driving experience feel more... raw, if that's possible.

I used to think the throws on the G weren't short enough. After a long 17hr road trip in the midwest last weekend, driving my friend's '04 Accord coupe 5mt (the clutch action is SO much easier on Hondas), I freaked out when I finally drove my car again today after 8 days of not seeing my baby. The throws felt so short, stiff (in a good, sporty way), and "clicked" into gear ever-so-nicely.
