Bottom line, there is no where in the U.S. where 90+ MPH is legal - yes even when cruising the desert to Vegas. Yes, everyone exceeds the speed limit occasionally, but it will take only one incident where you cause an accident which kills or maims someone, or you get pulled over.

Believe me if you get pulled over for cruising at 90+ MPH, you won't get off with just a ticket. That will probably be the 'last cruise' you will take for a while. And good luck telling the cop your lame a$$ argument about how lot's of people break the law, and how you think causing an accident at 80 or 95 makes no difference. The reality is you are supposed to be in control of your vehicle at all times, and NOT CAUSE ACCIDENTS at any speed.

So, before you try to defend your sorry a$$, think about how stupid your argument really is! And maybe when you grow up, you will understand!

Have a NICE Day!
You don't get arrested or having your car towed going 90-99 if freeway is 65mph...it will be just a ticket, please review california law. I am in no way arguing that it is safe to drive that speed, nor that I'm looking to make an excuse to a cop.

It is simply cruise control should be allowed to be locked in 99 and under cause 99 and under on a freeway is just a ticket. I don't know why you guys on Infiniti forums are so quick to name call and attack someone. You are attacking my intelligence without knowing me or anything about me. I am more than likely WAY more verse in california traffic law than most on this forum, but again... I AM NOT ARGUING SAFETY OR ARGUING WITH A COP, JUST THAT IF YOU ARE NOT LEASING A CAR THE CRUISE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE LOCKED IN SINCE IT STILL WOULD DEFAULT TO JUST A SPEEDING TICKET.

I in no way stated this to be an arguement, just wanted to see if this was normal. PLEASE VIEW ORIGINAL POST!!! THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO BLEW THIS OUT OF PROPORTION!!!! So i will not review arguement, cause there was none...just a question, you caused an agreement... so nice job, am I grown up now? Since you obviously missed the point of this thread.

+1 for you bud

Not sure about the state that u are in but speeds under 101 mph in california are infractions. 101+ would be misdemeanor which is not mandatory jail time. It can be a year in county jail and/or 1000$ fine. 99% of the time they will reduce the misdemeanor charge to an infraction if u plead guilty to the charge to avoid gathering a Jury!

I agree, cruise control is the lamest crap that ever invented for cars. All it does is takes ur concentration away from the road.

lets keep this civil guys, don't want to have to lock this up if it gets out of hand. Lets leave the name calling out, there's no point, and it doesn't make your argument any stronger
